PPC Mistakes To Avoid At All Cost
Pay Per Click(PPC) mistakes so you can avoid them and launch your campaign on the road to success immediately. PPC marketing can be a powerful tool to launch your business, increase awareness, and increase conversion rates but it can also have a costly trial and error period.
1. Missing the long tail keywords.
Don’t bid on every keyword variation that you can think of. You’ll spend a lot of money for very few conversions. Instead, focus on long tail keywords – keywords that are highly focused.
For example, the keyword ‘shoes’ is too generic and while you’ll receive an abundance of clicks, you’ll likely receive very few conversions simply because people are rarely searching for ‘shoes’ they’re more likely searching for ‘distance running shoes’, ‘custom made Italian leather shoes’, ‘infant walking shoes’ etc…
Focusing on the long tail keywords also means that you’ll pay less per click because there is less competition for those words and your conversion rate will likely be higher because you’re hitting a more targeted customer. Don’t forget that people are often searching for local providers and you can add your city or state into your pay per click campaign. For example, ‘distance running shoes, Austin TX’.
2. Not including your ad copy on your landing page.
Make sure that your ad copy is repeated on your landing page where you’re taking your visitor. If you’re advertising a 50% off sale then that’s what people will be looking for. If your copy doesn’t immediately address the information clearly, your visitor will leave.
3. Not using your creative mind.
Many marketers are afraid to step outside of the box. Instead they merely copy ads that they see from their competition. That’s not a good way to achieve results. If you want to see your click through rates sky rocket, then unleash your creative side and don’t be afraid to take risks. The worst thing that’s going to happen is your pay per click ad will be ignored. Instead, look to identify what is unique about your product or service and what benefit people will receive when they purchase.
Still struggling for a creative ad? Consider using the seasons in your ad copy. You can advertise a "holiday special", a summer blowout, a clear away the mid winter blahs, etc…Your ad copy will stand out from the others, it will be timely, and your click through rate will increase.
4. Not bidding on your business name.
This is a very cost effective means of getting more impressions. Consider bidding on your name and your name and geographic region. Not only will you receive more impressions but you’ll be able to clearly see how many people are searching for your business and you can use this statistic to gauge growth.
Note: If your competition is targeting your company name as a keyword, consider taking legal action. Report them to the search engine in question and draft a letter asking them to stop.
5. Failing to track and test.
When you set up your ad campaign, utilize the learning tools available to set your campaign up correctly from the beginning. There are numerous tools to track every visit to your site by the exact keyword, campaign and ad group used. This tracking and testing can be done by establishing variables or by integrating the pay per click campaign into your website analytics software.
Don’t forget to look at more than the click through rate. Conversion rates are the real money makers. An ad that has a 50% click through rate but a 1% conversion rate compared to an ad with a 20% CTR and a 20% conversion rate costs significantly more for less profits.

Affiliate Marketing
Make building and running an affiliate business more advantageous than other business models, it's still to your advantage if you're an affiliate marketer to build a list.
1. by building a list, you can recycle the traffic that you receive to your site. Even though some will buy through your link when you refer your visitors directly to the merchant's site, most won't buy, and you've lost that traffic. Also, when you refer the visitor to the merchant directly, the merchant will have a chance to get the visitor on his/her list, giving the merchant additional opportunities to market repeatedly to your potential customers.
2. by building a list, it gives you an opportunity to build a relationship with your visitors. You can convert your visitors to readers and then to customers.
Let's face it. Many people online are skeptical. Because there are so many scams occurring online, many people are worried about being taken. The truth is, the more credibility you have, and the harder you work to build a relationship with your readers, the more you will increase your bottom line.
3. by having a mailing list, you can endorse other products that complement your current offerings, whether you sell only affiliate products or you have your own products and services.
By selling multiple products, even if they're not your own, you can increase your sales. It makes it easy for you to go out and find the very best products to offer in your business. People love information, especially online, and you can offer unbiased reviews, or reviews on the best of the best with products online.
4. the biggest advantage of getting others to subscribe to your list is that these potential customers are targeted. They're looking for what you're offering. The difference between targeted and untargeted traffic is conversion. A targeted visitor is more likely to convert to a sale than a non targeted visitor.

Important For Domain Names
The business done using domain names has ever been getting more and more popularity, and its time everyone became aware of it. We will leap into the concept of this business with the following tips and ideas…
Domain name is nothing but the name you type on your address bar while accessing internet say… “google.com”, “www.yahoo.com” etc. But how can you make a business out of them! It’s just by having the name registered to yourself. Simple terms, “you own a domain name” if you register it, and you can sell it as you own it! Let’s go a closer look at the tricks involved in making good throughput.
1. Obviously you can’t have google.com registered to you!! They are the once already registered to someone. So try to get the domain names whose name you think will be sought after in the months to come, and which is also a catchy name! If you have a boom in certain niche of business, you may well get hold of some related name to that niche.
2. Next comes the way you select a particular name out of the thousands you are confused with. Select the names that have high probability keywords like say “cosmetic” in case you are looking for a fashion related thing… etc. These are the names that other competitors of business will be looking forward too. So you will be in for a huge profit if they decide to get it for them at any cost.
3. The price you pay for registering is only for a certain limit of time, normally one year, and then you have to keep renewing your name. Hence try to register a contemporary and famous name. Don’t have a far futuristic thought and decide upon the name, because its you who will be paying for the domain until someone comes after it.
4. The Domain names in the period they are parked uselessly can be made use of by having the ads of related products into your domain name’s page. Here is where the richness of the keyword in your domain name comes your aid. The more popular it is, the more people click into it and view the ads, and more you get out of it.
5. The domain names when sought after will have their value increasing day by day. So don’t get hasty and sell it rights out on the first day someone asks for it. Sometime a few days wait can yield you tens of thousands more.

Affiliate Marketing
If you want to earn real profits from an affiliate business though, then you need real strategies for getting traffic and earning profits.
Now, if you're already a member of an affiliate program, the next thing you need to do is work on earning more commissions.
If you really want to earn more commissions, here are three strategies that will help you begin to earn, or earn more from affiliate programs:
1. Know which the best affiliate program to promote.
To select the best products to promote, there are several factors you should consider. These include finding programs that have a generous commission structure. If you're having to sell a lot of a product to generate small commissions, you'll have to work a whole lot harder.
Make sure you know who your target market is and go where that target market is to promote. You also want to make sure that the programs you choose have a solid track record for paying affiliates, as well as having a solid track record for sales. Some sites, like Clickbank, can tell you how well different products are selling.
With thousands of affiliate programs available for you to sell, you can afford to be picky about what products you promote. Although as an affiliate, your reputation is less at stake than the merchant's, you want to be careful about what programs you promote. If you've built a list, as well as a relationship with your readers, your reputation is still at stake, and you want to make sure that you offer your readers good products.
An easy way for you to promote affiliate programs is through free ebooks and reports. These can be reports offered by the merchant, or a short report you've written about the product you're promoting. This can help you distinguish yourself from other affiliates, especially when you write the report yourself because you are giving the reader new information other affiliates are not offering.
2. Give away your free report to those who subscribe to your list.
Once you set up the lead capture page and autoresponder, all you have to do is drive traffic to the page.
You can also offer follow up messages on the product to give readers more information. By offering followups to your initial contact, you are building a relationship with the subscriber, and you are more likely to convert the subscriber to a customer.
Once you get the subscriber to sign up for your list and download the report, then you can send the subscriber to the merchant's website.
You can also publish an online newsletter or ezine for your list. Not only will you have a chance to promote your initial offering repeatedly, but you can also promote other offers. Let me caution you though, you want to make sure that you offer plenty of good information in your ezine.
An additional advantage of publishing an ezine is that you can also use this content for your website by creating an archive of your ezines. This also gives you an opportunity to promote to your new visitors.
3. Try pay per click advertising to get traffic fast
You can test your ads first by using some of the lesser known pay per click search engines that offer free credits. By testing your ads first, you'll find out what works best for promoting your affiliate products.
Build your list, offer your potential customers more value than your fellow affiliates, and test your promotions, and you can easily increase your commissions.

Learning the Basics of RSS
What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary; syndicating means republishing an article that comes from another source such as a website.
An RSS is a means of publicizing updates about websites. It may or may not include a summary and photos of the latest posting. But those that provide summaries (thus Rich Site Summary) allow users to skim through the article so that they could decide later on if they want to access the website source. The RSS feed usually contains the title of the update originating from the website. It is also usually the link to the website source.
What are the benefits of RSS?
RSS gives benefits to both readers (users) and web publishers.
1. It gives you the latest updates.Whether it is about the weather, new music, software upgrade, local news, or a new posting from a rarely-updates site learn about the latest as soon as it comes out.
2. It saves on surfing time.Since an RSS feed provides a summary of the related article, it saves the user’s time by helping s/he decide on which items to prioritize when reading or browsing the net.
3. It gives the power of subscription to the user.Users are given a free-hand on which websites
to subscribe in their RSS aggregators which they can change at any time they decide differently.
4. It lessens the clutter in your inbox.Although your email address will be required to enjoy the services of online RSS aggregators, RSS does not use your email address to send the updates.
5. It is spam free.Unlike email subscriptions, RSS does not make use of your email address to send updates thus your privacy is kept safe from spam mails.
6. Unsubscribing is hassle-free. Unlike email subscriptions where the user is asked questions on why s/he is unsubscribing and then the user would be asked to confirm unsubscribing, all you have to do is to delete the RSS feed from your aggregator.
7. It can be used as an advertising or marketing tool.Users who subscribe or syndicate product websites receive the latest news on products and services without the website sending spam mail. This is advantageous to both the web user and the website owner since advertising becomes targeted; those who are actually interested in their products are kept posted.
What are the drawbacks of RSS?
The disadvantages of RSS use are brought about by its being a new technology and some user-preference concerns.
1. Some users prefer receiving email updates over an RSS feed.
2. Graphics and photos do not appear in all RSS feeds. For conciseness and ease of publication, RSS feeds do not display the photos from the original site in announcing the update except for some web-based aggregators
3. The identity of the source website can be confusing.Since RSS feeds do not display the actual URL or name of the website, it can sometimes get confusing on what feed a user is actually reading.
4. Publishers cannot determine how many users are subscribed to their feed and the frequency of their visits. Moreover, they would not know the reasons why users unsubscribe which could be important in improving their advertising.
5. RSS feeds create higher traffic and demands on the server. Most readers still prefer the whole update over a brief summary of the entry, thus they still access the site.
6. Since it is a new technology, many sites still do not support RSS.
How do I start using RSS?
There are two things needed: an RSS feed and an RSS aggregator or reader. The RSS feed comes from an RSS-supported website. There are also websites that provide a list of RSS feeds of different websites. An RSS aggregator is used to read the RSS feed from the source website. It scans and collects data on latest RSS feeds from the worldwide web.
An aggregator comes in two forms: a downloadable program also known as desktop aggregator and an online or web-based aggregator. Downloadable aggregators may require payment before they can be acquired, while internet-based aggregators are usually free of charge. All you need to do is to register an account then you are ready to use their services. Both versions allow you to customize or choose which RSS feeds to enter.
Paid aggregators are usually chosen by more experienced users and they usually allow more freedom in customizing feeds.
1. Choose an RSS aggregator to use. For beginners, web-based aggregators are recommended since they are usually user-friendly
2. Scan the homepage of your target website for the RSS or XML button. It contains the RSS code you need to enter in the aggregator. Copy this code. Syndic8 provides a directory of websites that support RSS.
3. Paste the code (which contains the URL of the website) in your aggregator. There is a space provided for pasting the code.
After you have done these three easy steps, you can start reading the RSS feeds coming from the website. New postings appear as they are published real time at the source website.
RSS and Internet Marketing
The original idea of RSS came from Netscape, where their intention is to provide a means for users to customize their personal homepage to contain links to websites that interest them, similar to bookmarking websites.
The application of RSS to internet marketing was an unforeseen development to RSS technology developers. Since users are given the freedom to add RSS feeds to their aggregators, those who are interested in particular products and services available in the internet can now be notified real time. Marketing becomes more specific to interested people and not a hit-and-miss operation.
Those who intend to use RSS for marketing their products and services should consider linking up with email account providers, (e.g. Yahoo, MSN, Google mail); networking websites (e.g. Friendster, Multiply, My Space, Hi5); websites of newspapers and television network websites (e.g. New York Times, CNN) for medium to big-scale companies. Small-time industries can also look into networking websites as well as personal blog websites (e.g. Blogspot) and websites of clubs and organizations that would probably make use of their products or services e.g. a fishing supplies store can look for the website of their local fishing club for possible RSS marketing.
Clearly, RSS is an innovation in information management in the worldwide web as well as online marketing. We can expect better RSS technology in the not-so-distant future as its popularity increases among users and website owners alike.

5 Things to Look For in a Web Hosting Company
Stability
Without a doubt this is the most important factor in your search for a web hosting company. What is paying a web host worth if it is unable to keep your website online? This is particularly true if you are trying to run a business. Every second that your website is offline you are losing potential customers. Always look for web hosting companies that are not trying to hide any downtime they may have had.
Disk Space
Disk space is important because you do not want to purchase a plan and then later realize it is unable to hold your most important files. The easiest way to determine how much space you are using is to view the properties on the folder containing the backed up files for your website. Most websites do not use much disk space, but any type of video or music can bump up this number quickly.
Bandwidth
Bandwidth is particularly important. Plan a little bit for the future. If you are hosting large files that will be available for download you should ensure you have plenty of bandwidth available to your account. Most web hosts will suspend your account if you go over your allotted amount. This is always frowned upon by your visitors.
Support
Your monthly subscription, more than the bandwidth you are using is a lot about the support you may need. Owning a web hosting company means being responsible for it and ensuring you keep your clients. Clients can need assistance in several different ways. Those web hosting companies that are willing to go the extra mile will always keep the majority of their clients.
Speed
Speed is important for the obvious reason. We live in a world where people do not want to spend time waiting. Your food is served quickly, you can now pay at gas pumps, and washing your car can be done in mere minutes. Some people say that if your website does not give visitors an understanding of what it is about within seven seconds they will leave. Many argue this includes your load time. If your website is taking seven seconds to load itself, you are probably losing the majority of your visitors.

Simple Strategies to Gaining Site Popularity
I spent weeks online learning every thing I could; from creating a good title to developing the perfect meta tag. And now I would like to share some ideas with you.
Signature: Probably the easiest way to promote your site is with your signature. Make sure you add a link to your site in every email you send out and on any message board you post to. Even if you belong to a board that does not allow advertising, most will allow you to use a signature.
Message Boards: Sticking with message boards, join as many as you can and chat, chat, chat. After all, who would you rather give your business to? A total stranger or a good friend? Posting to message boards can prove to be very successful for your business, plus you may meet some great friends!
Online Awards: Applying for awards can help increase your sales. Apply to as many as you can. This can be time very time consuming but is recommended. You can also hire someone to submit your site for you. I offer a great submission package that I will talk about at the end of this article.
Link Popularity: It is crucial for you to get your site seen on as many web sites as possible. A lot of search engines will look at a sites popularity in determining its ranking. You can check your site popularity free at www.bravenet.com. Gain popularity by participating in link exchanges. A link exchange is where you place a link to a site on your page and that site will add a link back to yours. You should also place your ad on the free classified ad sites & FFA sites. This can take many hours if you are submitting by hand. You may want to hire someone to do this for you.
Meta Tags: You’ll also want to add a meta tag to your site. Most (not all) search engines use meta tags in determining ranking as well. A meta tag is an HTML snippet you insert onto your page. A good meta tag will include the following:
~ Your site title: This is the heading used on the very top of the web browser. A good title consists of 100 characters (including spaces)
~ Keywords: You should include 1000 characters in your keywords. Some search engines are case sensitive and therefore it is recommended you type your keywords twice; once in all lower case letters and once beginning with a capital (Mom, mom). Don’t forget to use commas to separate words or phrases. Be careful not to spam your words. Some search engines will reject your site if you use keywords more than 6 times.
~ Description: It is recommended you use 250 characters to describe your site. Make sure it is an eye-catching description as it will appear on the search engines!
Meta tags can be scary if you’re not quite sure how to create one. I offer services that will help you in writing one that’s right for your site.
Copy: Page copy is also important when search engines determine your ranking. This is the number of words on your site. Most engines like to see at least 200 words. If your page is an entrance page, try to get at least 200 words on it.

Html - A beginers first steps
Open up notepad on your computer. This is the only software you will need to begin learning html.A quick explanation of tags
Due to this article being hosted online I cant actual show you a tag as the webpage you are reading would make it invisible Tags begin with a "<" symbol and end with a ">" symbol. For the purpose of this artical I will replace these with the "[" and "]" symbols. Remember to always use the arrows though as the square brackets WILL NOT WORK.
A tag is a piece of html code used for formatting. You wont need to know much about them for now (they will be covered in another article), for now you just need to know that to add a tag you write
"[tagname] insert what you want formatted here[/tagname]"
The "[/tagname]" part stops all following text/other content from being formatted in the same way.
This, as I said, isnt very important for now.
What comes first?...
Well you cant get much more to the point than that. "
" comes first. Every html document starts with it and ends with the tag "
".
Easy right? so what we have so far is a text document that reads;

Now save your document as "index.html" and open it up in a browser. A large blank white page appears.
Now lets fill in that blank space...
Everything that makes up your webpage goes inbetween the "

" tags. But the actual text or content goes between two other tags, "[body][/body]". Notice how tags must have a beginning and an end, the end is shown by the / character. Type this new tag into your text document...
[body]Put your message here[/body]
Now type in a message in between the "[body]" tags. It can be whatever you want. Any message you can think of. It should be placed to replace "Put your message here" in the example above.
Save to index.html again like before and open it in your browser. You should now see a white screen with your message displayed in the top left corner.
What to do next...
If you like you can now upload this file to a webhost, many free ones are available if you search the internet. An then you will have a website for yourself... Well... not really. Its just one page after-all. We will cover how to add more pages and better content to your website in another artical. For now, play around with this and be proud that you are on your way to learning html.

Easy Learning Basic HTML
Many people are put off building their own website or changing templates because they think that learning HTML very difficult. Others also believe that creating your own website means purchasing expensive software. Yes there are many different programs out there that can be used to create a website for you, but basically you can do it all for free if you are willing to spend a little time learning the basics of HTML.
All over the Internet you can find websites offering template that you can download to your computer and add your own content too. Some of these templates are better than others, but even if you do find a high quality template, you still need to know some basic HTML otherwise website will have exactly the same design as everyone else who downloaded that same template.
Like everything else in life learning basic html just requires the right information.
So many times I have been asked by visitors to my HTML for beginners website how do I make my words bold? Or how do I make my text bigger? Using simple tags before and after the text involved will do this.
You can learning basic HTML Tags to get you started:
<*b>Types the text in bold.<*/b> This tag will make your words appear bold.
<*i>This should be italicized.<*/i> This will give your words an italic look.
<*u>Underline this text.<*/u> This text will be underlined
<*hr /> This forms a horizontal line. ___________________
<*font style="color:######;">Change color.Text here<*/font> This will change the color of (1) word. This (######) should be placed with the code for the color you want to use. For example if you wanted your words to be red the signs would be replaced with #ff0000
So your code will now look like this and your text will be red <*font style="color:#ff0000;">Change color.Text here<*/font>
<*small>This should be in small.<*/small> Make your text small
Combining Basic Html Tags
Perhaps you may want to combine some of the basic HTML codes above. Lets say you want to make your text bold and italic. This is what your code will look like.
<*b><*i>Text in bold and italic<*/i><*/b>
Notice we have put both the bold tag <*b> and the italic tag <*i> together to give us our bold and italic text. These combinations can also be applied to color. If you would like to make your text underlined and green, this is how the tag should appear.
<*u><*font style="color:#00ff00;">Change color of 1 word.Text here<*/font><*/u>
In all of the above code the * should be removed to make your code work correctly. The * is used to allow you to see the actual code but must be removed when placed on your site.
These are just some of the simple things you can do to change the look and feel of your website. To learn more why not check out some of the online basic HTML tutorials to get you started and in no time at all you will be past the basics of HTML and onto pro HTML coding.

Methods for Home-Based Businesses
Most likely, the one that was successful engaged in some effective marketing. Wise marketing is critical for owners of home-based businesses for a number of reasons:
1. Marketing keeps you ahead of the competition
2. Marketing brings you a steady stream of revenue
3. Marketing provides leads for future sales
4. Marketing helps increase awareness about your business
When it comes to selecting the methods you use with your business, remember to keep in mind your target audience and your budget, then start narrowing the list of possibilities. You may also want to try a few of these marketing methods which have been proven effective for other home-based businesses:
Affiliate Programs
With this type of program, you recruit other people to sell your products/services and reward them with a percentage of the revenue (usually 3 to 10%).
The mechanics of these programs works like a restaurant franchise. Because your recruits are now associated with your company's name, you want to be sure that they are maintaining your standards of quality and professionalism, so many affiliate programs include ready-made web sites, sales materials, and more.
These recruits then attempt to make sales on your behalf. The benefit is that all of their marketing efforts (beyond what you provide) are not part of your business's expenses, and they have the potential to reach new segments of potential clients and customers.
Giveaways
This type of marketing is one of the most popular with all businesses and can be handled in at least two ways: free gifts with a purchase and/or contests.
You have probably come across ads or web sites that sell e-books or other products and offer a number of free gifts with the purchase of the product. The lure of freebies helps people make the decision to purchase. You can do the same thing with your product or service. Keep in mind that whatever you offer as a free gift should be inexpensive to produce so that you don't lose money on the deal.
Contests
Contests can also be quite effective if done creatively. For example, if your business was selling e-books, you could hold a contest with the grand prize being a free copy of one of your top-selling e-books.
But what about second place? Many people don't realize that there's no rule or law against giving a prize to every person who enters your contest so why not reward all of the other people who entered with a significant discount on the price of that same e-book? Many of those second place winners will take the discount and make a purchase.
Search Engine Optimization
If you do any business online, an important part of your marketing efforts should be search engine optimization or SEO. SEO essentially means that you tweak your site so that it appears near the top of search engine results for certain keywords.
Generally this involves repeating those keywords frequently and placing keywords in headlines, meta tags, and introductory paragraphs. While it may sound easy, most businesses turn their SEO efforts over to professionals. If bringing an expert in fits your marketing budget, you may want to enlist their assistance.
Referral Reward Programs
Another type of program aimed at bringing people to your site is a type of referral reward program. During the Internet boom, many sites had these type of programs which paid a few cents for each person who visited a site from a link listed at your site or through some other means.
Now, however, they simply are not as popular, but they can still be beneficial. Instead of offering a cash reward, allow your customers to earn your products/services by referring new business to you.
For example, you may want to offer a free e-book to customers who refer five new customers to your site. These new customers may have to make a purchase, join the referral reward program, become a member, or sign up for the newsletter. People will do a great deal if the reward is right.
Whether you elect to use one of these marketing methods or choose one of your own, the key is to test its effectiveness. Try it out for awhile and see if the results are satisfactory. If not, return to the drawing board. If so, then implement it on a larger scale.

Create A Website Marketing Plan
A web site marketing plan is essential not only just to survive but to continue to thrive and expand your business, most of us probably create a web site first before we plan to market it. However just like a business plan, you should prepare your marketing strategy ahead of time.
What's the benefit of doing this? The further you plan ahead the easier will all the pieces of your web site fall into place.
There are 7 point to creating your web site marketing plan
1. Begin with the end in mind
Create a vision what you want your web site to accomplish. Define a vision statement i.e. “I will develop a highly profitable web site within 6 months”.
2. Set doable goals
Depending on your product or service, write down one or a set of goals you BELIEVE you can accomplish i.e. “I will turn a profit of $500/month at the end of 6 months”.
3. Choose a few marketing strategies
Based on your research, pick a few strategies to begin with that you know you can accomplish. This could include optimizing your web site for the search engines, placing an ad in an ezine, or writing an article to submit to online publications.
4. Create a time line and set a deadline
Create a horizontal line on paper or on a white board (where you can easily view it each day) and divide this line up into days, weeks or months (or whatever duration you decide) of your marketing campaign. Then mark the beginning and ending dates of your campaign, plus what type of marketing method you are using.
5. Track your results
If you are running an ad either on the Internet or offline, track its effectiveness. Use ad tracking software like adtrackz.com, to track all the links you place online. To know how visitors arrived at your web site and what keywords they searched on to get there, analyze your web site statistics (read my article “how to analyze web traffic). With offline ads, use a different code for each ad. If one ad doesn't work well, rework your copy and try it again. Once you find one that works, expand your advertising to other publications.
6. Calculate your return on investment (ROI).
Don't just blindly throw money into an ad and hope for the best. Keep track of how much money you initially invested in the ad and what profit you made in return. i.e. if you received $7 back in profit for every dollar you invested in your pay per click strategy, then you are running a very successful marketing campaign.
7. Constantly evaluate your results
After each marketing campaign, evaluate which strategies worked best and which ones did not. Repeat those marketing strategies that are profitable to get maximum results from them. Throw out or refine the ones that did not work well and try some different ones.
Tips
Write your vision, goals, strategies and time line on a piece of paper. Keep this next to your computer so you can refer to it from time to time so you don't lose your focus. It's easy to get distracted, particularly when it's no longer fun to act on your marketing plans and they just become a chore to do.
Be disciplined - stay focused on your vision, goals, strategies and dead lines. Staying on track with your time line and accomplishing your deadlines, will give you a great sense of accomplishment. You also can be assured you are making progress towards achieving a profitable web site.
Try a number of strategies at the same time - by utilizing a few different strategies together, you have a better chance of getting more visitors to your website. For instance each week you could place an ad (free or paid) in an ezine and write an article. Daily you could participate in the various popularforums, newsgroups and message boards on the Internet and include a link to your web site in your signature file.
Conclusion - creating, executing, tracking, testing and evaluating your concrete web site marketing plan will greatly enhance your chances of building a profitable online business.
What's the benefit of doing this? The further you plan ahead the easier will all the pieces of your web site fall into place.

SEO For Your Business Website
SEO (search engine optimization) techniques for websites,to be direct and to the point, no marketing program on the Internet can be complete without SEO for your business website.
White Hat SEO tactics can be best described as the techniques that are approved of by every major search engine. Some of these would include the proper use of "META" tags, "img alt" tags, "H1" tags, etc.
Gray Hat SEO Tactics go a little further. Some of the techniques might be considered borderline "Black Hat" (meaning search engines mostly do not approve of them) techniques. Some of these are forced or artificial link building, purposefully creating content laden with rich keywords, using the "img alt' tag to add additional keywords to the page, etc. None of these would probably get your website penalized or banned, but you can see they go beyond the basics.
Black Hat SEO tactics are those techniques that the major search engines disapprove of. Some of these techniques include cloaking of page content, automated link creation, content creation for the sole purpose of SEO ranking, off-site techniques, etc. There are numerous other black hat techniques, but they are secret. This is what makes them "black hat". The major search engines can't figure out what the black hat guys are doing to stop them and they aren't going to share this technology with anyone.
You can't blame anyone for trying to gain an advantage when it comes to the serps (search engine result pages). A higher or a coveted front page listing on Google can be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional revenues or even millions in additional revenues, depending on your business model.
White, Gray or Black Hat SEO, you can choose where you think your website belongs. No website should be without a solid SEO program in place. If you think you can just build your business on the web without a powerful SEO program in place you are mistaken and you will be severely disappointed when "newbie" websites have leapfrogged over you because they have implemented a proper SEO program.
For those who want a do it yourself type of program this report is for you.For those of you who want to hire a professional, I'll provide you a link where you can get a free consultation and a quote on what you will need to have done so you can go after that prime real estate - the first page on Google's serps for your keyword. If you want to sign up in advance for the report, you will get it at least 1 week before I make it public.

Make Money With Blog
2 types of business models that entrepreneurs use to make money blogging.
The first and most common way to turn a blog into a profit making machine is to sell advertising to different companies and brands who want to reach that blog'sreaders.
The second kind of money making blog is one that helps a single brand improve its image by creating positive associations between the blog and the product in the mind of consumers.
Both kinds of blogs can make a lot of money, especially if the creator has a keen mind for marketing.
Many people make money blogging by selling space through Google's AdSense program. The advantages of this program are numerous, as it requires very little effort on the part of the blogger or webmaster to begin raking in profits.
However, most people discover that they make less money through this method than they had hoped that their blog would earn.Selling advertising directly to companies who want to put banner ads or sponsored links on your blog can take quite a bit of time, but it is often fairly lucrative.
If you have a lot of contacts in industries that are related to the topic of your blog, you may want to try to go this route. People who have a strong background in sales and are experienced at pitching proposals can make quite a bitof money by renting blog space to interested companies.
The most serious problem with this model is that you often have to build quite a sizable readership before you can attract advertisers, which can mean that you have to do several months of work before you start to make money blogging.
One way that companies are capitalizing on the blog movement is by having blogs that provide a kind of friendly face fortheir corporation. Often, a company will employ an established blogger to create a weblog designed specifically to appeal to that company's customers and consumers' minds.

5 Tips For Your Blog
Write a weekly “best of” post
It is fairly simple to do. Make a weekly post that spotlights the best posts that you have read on other peoples blogs. By linking directly to the post, you create trackback links on other blogs and this will result in new readers to your blog. This is sort of works like a backwards blog comment.
Be sure to link
A very important persona of your blog is the links that you provide. The more link outs you have the more your readers perceive it as more authoritative and valuable. It also shows that you are not trying to hide something and also show that you put credit where credit is due.
Improve your blog’s look
Why use the same templates and designs that many other blogs are using? Use a design that is totally different than everyone else and people will remember "that cool looking blog" that they had seen earlier and come back to it. If you can not find a unique template or don't know how to change your design, consider outsourcing to have it done.
Know your readers
Just because you have a blog, don't put yourself on a pedestal above everyone else. Get to know your visitors by responding to their comments, become friends with them and in return they will spread the word about you and your blog.
Create reader friendly content
Make sure that your content speaks to all of your potential audience. Make it entertaining and interesting for all to read. You want your content to be shared, if it reads like a tech manual, readers are going to give up on it let alone share it.
Remember that blogging is supposed to be fun ,for you and your readers. I hope this will help you improve your blog and take it to the next level.

Internet Marketing Basic
Internet marketing can seem mystifying not only for beginners, but for moderately skilled internet marketers. With all the courses, forums, blogs, reports, seminars and teleconferences available to help people learn how to get traffic to their sites, it is one of the most overwhelmingly dense subjects on the internet.Unfortunately, and this is perfectly true, most of the advice or "expert" tips are outdated or completely false.
Since anyone can publish on the internet, you have a mixed bag of good information followed with much more bad information.
Most people think that since search engine marketing changes every five minutes, that ALL internet marketing tactics must have changed as much in the same amount of time. Not true. The basics, like trading links, article syndication, testimonials, forum signatures, joint ventures, affiliate programs - most work as well today as they did years ago. That is, if you know how to value the work above for what it will truly do for your website traffic.Funny thing is, no one places much value on the above tactics anymore because there is always some "new" tactic around the corner that claims the death of everything that came before it. And most people blindly follow that advice as if it were true. Most of the time, this is to the detriment of their internet marketing efforts. The basics are what work all the time and what have always worked on the internet. You can always experiment with new things, as long as you have not forgotten to do the basics. The basics proven to drive traffic, page rank, link popularity, and branding to your business.
Conservative, relevant reciprocal linkingArticle syndicationParticipation in your field and among your market (forums)BloggingOffline advertisingNon-reciprocal linking tacticsPress releases...and many other proven methods.
Everything else is just a big experiment until proven to work over time. "Over time" being the operative words. Lots of flash in the pan crack pot schemes work for awhile. But most never stand the test of time.Links from a widely syndicated article will never fade away, yet I see people chasing down fly-by-night linking pyramid schemes as if they truly believe something like that is a smart thing to base their internet business on!
Tens of thousands have walked away from their dreams, gone back to their depressing, predictable, slave-labor jobs never knowing how close they were to actually succeeding.Good people have left this business proclaiming it an utter lie that any average person can make it with an internet business and an internet marketing plan.I guess there is truth in that statement.
Average people do in fact quit this business before they ever get started because average people fall for tricks and schemes that above average people avoid on their way to success. If you have read this far, you are probably in the above average category. Why? Because average people would have taken one look at the list of things I mentioned that are the bread and butter of internet marketing and saw nothing but hard work. And they'd be right!Above average people don't shy away from work though.
I don't know a single soul (and my rolodex has some of the biggest names in internet marketing in it) who got where they are today without a lot of hard work. You can succeed in internet marketing if you are not afraid to work, and not constantly tempted by those who say you can succeed without it!Focus on the basics of internet marketing and stay with them as you try new strategies. We all experiment. But successful internet marketers never leave their bread and butter tactics behind unless they cease to be effective.

Making Money With Adsense
You can easily learn how to create a brand new adsense site in minutes,Adsense enables a person to monetize their sites easily. If used properly, it can generate a very large and healthy income for them. However if you are not using them rightly and just maximizing the income you squeeze from it, you are actually leaving a lot of money on the table.
Here's how you can start earning money with Adsense can be done easily and quickly. You will be amazed at the results you will be getting in such a short period of time.
You can start by writing some quality content articles which are also keyword incorporated. There are a lot of people given the gift of being good with words. Writing comes easy for them. Why not make it work in such a way that you will be earning some extra money in the process.
There are three steps to put into mind before you begin publishing your ads and having an effective adsense site.
1. Keyword search.
Find some popular subjects, keywords or phrase. Select the ones which you think has more people clicking through. This is actually a keyword selector and suggestion tool that some websites are offering to those who are just their adsense business.
2. Writing articles.
Start writing original content with keywords from the topics that you have achieved in your search. search engines are taking pride in the quality of their articles and what you will be writing should keep up with their demands.
3. Quality content site.
Build a quality content site incorporated with Adsense ads that is targeting the subject and keywords of your articles and websites. This is where all that you've done initially will go to and this is also where they will prove their worth to you.
The proper positioning of your ads should be done with care. Try to position your ads where surfers are most likely to click on them. According to research, the one place that surfers look first when they visit a certain site is the top left. The reason behind this is not known. Maybe it is because some of the most useful search engine results are at the top of all other rankings. So visitors tend to look in that same place when browsing through other sites.
Those who are just starting at this business may think they are doing pretty well already and thinking that their clickthrough rates and CPM figures are quite healthy. However, there are more techniques and styles to generate more clicks to increase your earnings. By knowing these techniques and working them to your advantage, you will realize that you will be getting three times more than other people who have been previously doing what they are doing.
And finally, adsense has some excellent tracking statistics that allows webmasters and publishers to track their results across a number of sites, page by page, or any other basis you wanted.
You should be aware of this capability and make the most of it because it is one powerful tool that will help you find out which ads are performing best. This way, you can fine tune your Adsense ads and focus more on the ones being visited the most rather than those who are being ignored.

Make Money From Your Own Blog
If you want to make some money from your blog, now we can learn how to make money from blogging, someone that's been at it for awhile, experience definitly helps. And always remember the blogosphere changes rapidly, and change creates opportunity, and opportunity can create the kind of income your seeking.
Most people are clueless when it comes to making money from their blogs. You should think of your blog as a potential outlet for multiple streams of income. If your ready to take on the challenge of generating income from blogging, the most important thing you need to monetize your blog is traffic, and to be more specific, targeted traffic.
When I first started blogging, I knew that traffic building was going to be my biggest challenge.I don’t recommend using a hosted service like Blogger if you want to seriously make money from your blog. If you use a hosted blog, you’re at the mercy of the hosting service, and that puts the future of any income streams you create with them at risk.
You should always be experimenting with new income streams, every blog is different, so you need to test things for yourself to see what works for you. Pick a niche for your blog where you have some significant expertise, but make sure it’s a big enough niche that you can build a good amount of traffic. And by all means make it clear to your visitors what your blog is all about.
If you aren’t good at strategy, then just come up with a general philosophy for how you’re going to generate income. You don’t need a full business plan, just a description of how you plan to get from $0 per month to whatever your income goal is.Although you may have multiple streams of income, decide which type of income will be your primary source, and design your site around that. If you learn about a new potential income stream, test it for a month or two, and measure the results for yourself.
As a blogger who wants to generate income, you should always be experimenting with new income streams.Think about what specific action you want your visitors to eventually take that will make money from your blog for you, and design your site accordingly.
More visitors means more ad clicks, more product sales, more affiliate sales, more leads, and more of whatever else that generates income for you.If you are very web savvy, or if you can learn to become very web savvy, then you have an excellent shot of making enough money from your blog to cover all your living expenses… and then some. Perhaps the best part of generating income from blogging is the freedom it brings.
Why My Business Blog Can't Be Success
You can found 3 reason why your business blog can't be success, this will give you insight into what not to do.
1.The Blog Lacks a Purpose
A business blog that lacks a purpose will also lack direction. When that's the case, the blogger does not know who the intended audience is or what kind of information they want. Without these essential ingredients, how would you even begin to write the first post?Ask yourself the following questions with regard to blogging. What are my goals? What do I hope to get out of my publishing efforts? How will my blog support my company’s marketing and communications goals? You should answer these questions before you even write your first post. You should be able to state your blog's purpose in one or two sentences. For example: "The purpose of my blog is to educate small business owners on the benefits of Internet marketing." Notice that this statement has an action (to educate), an audience (small business owners), and a subject (Internet marketing).
2.The Blog Lacks Originality
There are literally millions of bloggers publishing content online each week. So how will your blog stand apart from the rest? Even within your topical niche and specific area of expertise, there is guaranteed to be dozens, hundreds or even thousands of bloggers publishing new content on a regular basis. In order to succeed in such a crowded space, a business blog must offer something original. Originality can come from many sources. A blogger can provide tips or instructions that are hard to find elsewhere, offer a fresh new insight into a particular topic, or even create a new topic that nobody else is blogging about. These are just three ways to add originality to a business blog. The main thing is to be original in some way, shape or form.
3.The Blogger Lacks Patience
In some cases, a new blogger will already have an audience from day one. For example, if a popular news columnist ventures online to start a blog, he or she will soon have fans flocking to the new site. But such cases are rare.It is more realistic that when you first start blogging you will have an audience of one (yourself). But this can change over time, as long as you put in the effort to publish quality content on a regular basis. Many business bloggers lack the patience and determination necessary to build an audience. It's hard work, and it usually takes weeks, months or even years to accomplish. It's really all a matter of expectation. If a business blogger expects to generate a vast amount of leads or sales from the blog in a short time, he or she will normally come away frustrated. On the other hand, when the publisher outlines clear objectives for the blog and publishes quality content over a period of time, the audience will eventually grow. And with that audience comes blogging success in general (leads, sales, subscriptions, or inquiries).Your Roadmap for Success
Now that you understand the common reasons why business bloggers fail, you'll be better able to avoid the same mistakes in your own publishing efforts. Establish your blog's purpose early on. Strive to make it unique and interesting in some way. And be patient but persistent with your blogging efforts. Success will come eventually.

Importance To Remember Why Nobody Likes Your Blog
Here is the top five list of why nobody likes your blog:
1. Your Content is Bland and Unoriginal
This is an obvious starter. If your content is composed of mindless ramblings about what you did at work today, or useless commentary about how great Stumble Upon or EntreCard is... why even have a blog? Realize that nobody wants to read about what kind of sandwich you prefer just as much as nobody wants to be batted down with common knowledge that they can probably find more about by just visiting the creator's website. This was really brought to my attention by my blogging buddy Jason Periera in his recent posting, and the kid has a point. What he misses is that it is fine to have the basics. I think that every start up blog needs to have some generally understood information like "how do I buy stock?" and "how do I boost my RSS subscribers?" before continuing. It's a fact, you need the starting point. However, if you don't branch off and start telling people how you are running things in a unique way... why would anyone stick around?I think the best lesson here is that after you write a post, always to back over it and say to yourself "would I want to read this?" If you yourself think that your writing is water under the bridge, then delete it and start over, as painful as that might be.
2. You Draw Up Lame Metaphors About Blogging
Stop it. There is nothing I hate more than posts that start out "blogging is like a race car" or "writing a post is like climbing a tree." Seriously, blogging is usually going to be about one of three things: making money, getting famous or teaching/helping readers. If you can't help yourself but tell us how much boosting traffic is like baking a cake, sell your website now and save us the hassle. Please. When people read posts like this, they are thinking to themselves... wow I just wasted five minutes of my life, I wish he/she had some actual advice for me. I'm sorry for calling you out, but it had to be said. This is just like the girl in school that takes black and white pictures and everyone says "wow, you are so artistic" when they are really saying to themselves: "wow, that was just a bad picture."Don't be that black-and-white artist. Give us something we can use!
3. You are Selling Your Soul, and Your Soul Isn't Worth a Dime
If your website has less than 100 readers a day and you are trying to load up your content with Adsense advertisements, you better know what you are doing. I'm all for effective advertising, pestering readers with "subscribe to my feed!" requests and writing up the occasional sponsored posting. But only if you are qualified. Before you monetize your website, ask yourself if you would pay $5 a month to read your own material. This is basically an understatement of the opportunity cost foregone when someone is an active reader of your blog, roughly five bucks. If you wouldn't pay a measly five dollars to subscribe to your own content, nobody is going to want to break through advertisements in order to read your stuff.I could care less if you are giving up profit for a month or two, it just isn't worth it. There is nothing that is more of a turn off than blogs that are chock-full of ads and bad content (and a bad design too perhaps). If you yourself wouldn't want to pay for your content, why impose a toll (advertising) on your readers for doing the same? Don't sell your soul if the devil ain't buying.
4. You Use Freebies Instead of Paying Your Dues
You know exactly what I am talking about. If you are trying to boost your traffic, your readership, your income and you are sitting on a ".wordpress.com" or a ".blogspot.com" domain name... you don't deserve it. If you are using free web hosting from I-care-more-about-my-2-bucks-than-my-readers.com instead of paying the CHEAP fees involved with reliable web hosting in this day and age... you don't deserve it.It's time to get serious about blogging folks! The blogging universe is a crowded place, and if you haven't paid your 6 bucks yearly for a cheap domain name, then you aren't going to be noticed (save a few). It's the cheapest way to guarantee a shred of respect around. Buying a domain name is very easy, very cheap and very effective. If you don't have one, people feel turned off from the get-go... believe me. Save yourself the trouble and open that wallet, you won't regret it.Buying the domain name is a must. But I would recommend going a step further and paying for web hosting from one of the big resellers like Host Gator or 1&1. This will run you just a few bucks a month, and boy is it worth it. You now have peace of mind that your website wont take more than 7 seconds to load (I click out of these immediately) and that everything functions as it should (crashes, debugging messages, etc.). It is very cost effective nowadays, and you don't need much space at all (50mb - 250mb should cover this requirement with ease). The Bottom Line: If you don't like your blog enough to spring for some extras, people aren't likely to find your material interesting or worthwhile.
5. You Don't Post Regularly, So I Don't Visit Regularly
The title says it all. Unless you are writing some brilliant articles 2 times weekly, you probably should be aiming to post every day or at minimum 4-5 times a week. After all, your competition is doing it!Even if I have nothing original for the day (rare), I will still at least put up an announcement post that lets you guys in on how I am doing and what to expect coming up. As much as you want to escape the issue, the fact remains that you have bloggers in your niche, and whoever is putting out more unique content will win the race in the long run.
When I first started blogging, I made a list of 25 websites I wanted to visit regularly. After about a week, I noticed that a few of these bloggers weren't updating at all... and guess what happened guillotine sound effect. Don't put your blog on the back-burner, and neither will the public.I know this is more of a rant than anything else, but heed my word because it represents what the world thinks about your blog site. Fix it! The simple metrics I have mentioned like buying a domain name and posting useful articles can go for miles.

Fresh Content For Your Blog
Maybe You always heard the cliché that "Content is King",well it’s true, the importance you always think.
Relevant information is what drives the internet, good content attracts visitors and if you have content that is fresh every day, visitors will come back again and again. After all, people thirst for something new. Give it to them and they will reward you in ways you can’t even imagine.
When you have new headlines every day, other sites will want to link to you. And when you increase the number of inbound links, you boost your ranking on Google and other search engines.
Google seems to loathe stale sites. If they could figure out a way to completely ignore sites that never update their content, they probably would. Meanwhile, Google loves sites that are constantly changing. If your site looks even slightly different than the last time the Googlebot visited it, you’re going to get a ranking boost.* Your site will be seen as an industry leader…not just another cow in the herd.
